Opening Prayer: Almighty God, You are all powerful, and You expect Your followers to experience the power You give. Help me to make the most of the power available to believers in Jesus. Amen.

Read: Psalm 108

Read: Matthew 28:16-20

Reflect: Compare the Great Commission of Matthew 28 to Jesus’ words in Mark 16:15-18. How are the two passages similar? What differences stand out between the two? Jesus promises to be with his disciples to the very end of the age, how have you experienced Jesus presence?

Prayer: for the church, for others, for myself.

Hymn: “Of the Father’s Love Begotten”
Of the Father’s love begotten,
Ere the worlds began to be,
He is Alpha and Omega-
He the Source, the Ending He,
Of the things that are, that have been,
And that future years shall see,
Evermore and Evermore!

O that birth forever blessed,
When the Virgin, full of grace,
By the Holy Ghost conceiving,
Bare the Savior of our race;
And the Babe, the world’s Redeemer,
First revealed His sacred face,
Evermore and Evermore!

Christ, to Thee of God and Father,
And, O Holy Ghost, to Thee,
Hymn and chant and high thanksgiving
And unwearied praises be:
Honor, glory, and dominion,
And eternal victory,
Evermore and evermore!

Closing Prayer: Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Amen and Amen (Psalm 72:18-19)
