We offer our prayers in the name of Christ. Amen.

Psalm 25

Read: Matthew 13:1-14:36

Prayer: for the church, for others, and for myself

Hymn: “O God, Our Help in Ages Past”
O God, our help in ages past,
Our hope for years to come,
Our shelter from the stormy blast,
And our eternal Home!

Under the shadow of thy throne
Still may we dwell secure;
Sufficient is thine arm alone,
And our defense is sure.

Before the hills in order stood,
Or earth received her frame,
From everlasting thou art God,
To endless years the same.

A thousand ages, in thy sight,
Are like an evening gone;
Short is the watch that ends the night
Before the rising sun.

Time, like an ever rolling stream,
Bears all who breathe away;
Then fly forgotten, as a dream
Dies at the opening day.

O God, our help in ages past,
Our hope for years to come;
Be thou our guide while life shall last,
And our eternal home. Amen

Closing Prayer: May the God of steadfastness and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another in accord with Christ Jesus, that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen –Romans 15:5-6
