Opening Prayer: Almighty God, You send Your Son to bring me into Your family. May I accept the great gift that you’ve given me through Jesus, in whose name I pray, Amen.

Read: Hebrews 2:5-18

Reflect: What benefits do believers get from Jesus according to the writer of Hebrews? How does the author of Hebrews explain that believers in Jesus have received these benefits? Why is it significant that Jesus gave these gifts to believers? How do we experience the blessings that Jesus has earned for us?

Children of light, the darkness fast is gathering.

Stand in the light- God’s Word outshines the shadows;
And sing hallelujah! we’ve a bright tomorrow!

Closing Prayer: I call on you, my God, for you will answer me; turn your ear to me and hear my prayer. Show me the wonders of your great love, you who save by your right hand those who take refuge in your from their foes. Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings.
