Opening Prayer: Almighty God, You have called me to maturity. Help me to receive the gift of Your Holy Spirit which will allow me to grow into the adult Christian You have called me to be. Amen.

Read: Psalm 68

Reflect: Paul quotes Psalm 68:18 in Ephesians 4:8. How does Paul change the psalm to fit his purposes? How does the rest of the psalm point to Jesus? Are there elements of the psalm that do not fit Jesus? Use the psalm as a guide for your time of prayer of praise to the Jesus.

Prayer: for the church, for others, for myself.

Hymn: “O How He Loves You and Me”
O how He loves you and me!
O how He loves you and me!
He gave His life; what more could He give?
O how He loves you;
O how He loves me;
O how He loves you and me!

Jesus to Calvary did go,
His love for sinners to who.
What He did there brought hope from despair.
O how He loves you;
O how He loves me;
O how He loves you and me!

Closing Prayer: May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance. 2 Thessalonians 3:5
