Opening Prayer: Almighty God, You have promised never to leave me or forsake me. Please draw to mind your promises as I go through periods in my life when I am apt to forget that truth. Amen.

Reflect: Why do you think some were doubtful even at the appearance of Jesus after his public crucifixion? Does the promise have any more validity because it comes after Jesus’ death and resurrection? How is Jesus with his disciples even after he ascends to Heaven?
