Opening Prayer: Almighty God, You sent Your only Son for me. I didn’t deserve it and I can’t comprehend the gift you’ve given me. Help me, today, to understand a little bit more of your love for me. Amen.

Read: Isaiah 53:13-53:12
Reflect:
Consider the numerous ways Jesus fulfilled this song that was first written over 500 years before his earthly ministry. Why are the details of the servant’s suffering significant? How does this song teach us about God’s plan for Jesus, and Jesus’ ability to fulfill God’s plan?

Prayer: for the church, for others, and for myself

Hymn: “We come, O Christ, to You”
We come, Or Christ, to you,
True Son of God and man,
By whom all things consist,
In whom all life began.
In you alone we live and move,
And have our being in Your love.

You are the way to God;
Your blood our ransom paid.
In you we face our Judge
And Maker unafraid.
Before the throne absolved we stand;
Your love has met Your Law’s demand.

We worship you, Lord Christ,
Our Savior and our King;
To You our youth and strength
Adoringly we bring.
So fill our hearts, that all may view
Your life in us, and turn to you!

Closing Prayer: Let the ruins of Jerusalem break into joyful song, for the Lord has comforted his people. He has redeemed Jerusalem. The Lord has demonstrated his holy power before the eyes of all the nations. All the ends of the earth will see the victory of our God. (Is. 52:9-10 NLT)
