Opening Prayer: Almighty God, thank you for this season. Help me to focus on You and Your Son, and not about the gifts and parties that take so much time during this season. Amen.

Reflect: How does Mary’s reaction to the news that she will be pregnant surprise you? Why do you think she went to see Elizabeth? What does the announcement of Jesus’ coming by the angel Gabriel tell us about Jesus? What do we learn about God’s plan through Jesus in this passage?
