Opening Prayer: Almighty God, You give guidance and healing in times of trouble, and You always give love and grace. Help me to live in the reality of Your love extended to me. Amen.
Read: Exodus 2:23-3:9
Reflect: Do you think there is a reason God did not rise up before the people cried for help because of their bondage? Why do you think God wanted Moses to take off his sandals, what about bare feet is holier? How would you react if God spoke to you through a plant?
Prayer: for the church, for others, and for myself
Hymn: “Jesus, Thy Boundless Love to Me”
Jesus, Thy boundless love to me
No thought can reach, no tongue declare;
O knit my thankful heart to Thee
And reign without a rival there.
Thine wholly, Thine alone I am;
Be Thou alone my constant flame.
O grant that nothing in my soul
May dwell, but Thy pure love alone;
O may Thy love possess me whole-
My joy, my treasure, my crown.
All coldness from my heart remove;
My every act, word, thought, me love.
In suffering be Thy love my peace;
In weakness be Thy love my power.
And when the storms of live shall cease,
Jesus, in that important hour,
In death as life, be Thou my Guide,
And save me, who for me hast died!
Closing Prayer: Lord, we have discovered that Christian growth does not come by pouring in, but by giving out. I give You my life, accept it as a gift of love, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
