Opening Prayer: Almighty God, You have made it possible for me to walk in the light as You are in the light. Help me to stay in Your light this week. Amen.

Read: 2 Corinthians 5:1-10
Reflect: Why are we always away from Christ if we are at home in the body? What does Paul say about the different types of dwellings we experience in life and eternally? How will we receive what is due us for the things done while in the body?

Prayer: for the church, for others, and for myself

Hymn: Immortal, Invisible, God Only Wise
Immortal, invisible, God only wise,
In light inaccessible hid from our eyes,
Most blessed, most glorious, the Ancient of Days,
Almighty, victorious- Thy great name we praise.

Unresting, unhasting, and silent as light,
Nor wanting, nor waiting, Thou rulest in might;
Thy justice, like mountains, high soring above
Thy clouds, which are fountains of goodness and love.

To all, life Thou givest- to both great and small;
In all life Thou livest- the true Life of all.
Thy wisdom so boundless, Thy mercy so free,
Eternal Thy goodness, for naught changeth Thee.

Great Father of glory, pure Father of light,
Thine angels adore Thee, all veiling their sight.
All laud we would render- O help us to see
‘Tis only the splendor of light hideth Thee.

Closing Prayer: Thank you for Your faithfulness to forgive me when I confess my sins. Help me to look honestly at myself, so I can be in the light with You. Amen.

Read: 2 Corinthians 4
Reflect: What does it mean to fix your eyes on what is unseen? How does life work within us? How can we allow the light of the knowledge of the glory of God shine into our hearts?

Prayer: for the church, for others, and for myself

Read: Acts 11:19-26
Reflect: What is the significance of these early Christians gathering together at Antioch? Why do you think the book of Acts records information about these gatherings? How can we carry on the spirit of these early Christian gatherings today?
