Opening Prayer: Almighty God, You are shaping me, as I experience you. Come and form me as I read Your Word today. Amen.
Read: Matthew 25:31-46
Reflect: These verses have been in the back of my mind for the last several months. How important is it that we show kindness to “the least of these”? Who are “the least of these”? What do these acts of kindness look like in Connell, Washington?
Prayer: for the church, for others, and for myself
Hymn: “In Heavenly Love Abiding”
In heavenly love abiding,
No change my heart shall fear;
And safe is such confiding,
For nothing changes here.
The storm may roar without me,
My heart may low be laid,
But God is round about me,
And can I be dismayed?
Wherever He may guide me,
No want shall turn me back;
My Shepherd is beside me,
And nothing can I lick.
His wisdom ever waketh;
His sight is never dim.
He knows the way He taketh,
And I will walk with Him.
Green pastures are before me
Which yet I have not seen.
Bright skies will soon be o’er me,
Where darkest clouds have been.
My hope I cannot measure;
My path to life is free.
My Savior has my treasure,
And He will walk with me.
Closing Prayer: Heavenly Father, guard my heart and my mind as I learn to do Your will. Amen.
Opening Prayer: Almighty God, You are shaping me, as I experience you. Come and form me as I read Your Word today. Amen.
Read: James 3:13-18
Reflect: Most of the book of James preaches without any preaching. This passage is no exception. Pray for wisdom, and that the One who sows in peace will sow in you.

Read: Psalm 18
Reflect: This long Psalm begins and ends with praise for God’s protection and blessing. How do you experience God as your strength? How is God at work to move you? How do you experience God as your fortress? How is He at work to protect you?
Prayer: for the church, for others, and for myself

Read: Psalm 1
Reflect: Read this Psalm slowly, and reflect on contrast between the righteous and the wicked. Consider the description of each, which portions in the definition of the righteous come as a result of their action, and which come as a blessing from God?

Read: Mark 12:13-17
Reflect: How were the Pharisees trying to trap Jesus? How did they hope Jesus would answer? What do you think Jesus meant when he told them to give to God what is God’s?
