Opening Prayer: Almighty God, You have found me, and by Your grace you have saved me. Help me to live in the joy of a relationship with You today. Amen.

Read: Genesis 17

Reflect: Why did God command Abraham to circumcise all the men in his household? What did circumcision accomplish? How can we have a relationship with God like Abraham’s?

Prayer: for the church, for others, and for myself

Hymn: “Arise, My Soul, Arise”

Arise, my soul arise.
Shake off thy guilty fears.
The bleeding Sacrifice
In my behalf appears.
Before the throne my Surety stands,
Before the throne my Surety stands;
My name is written on His hands.

Five bleeding wounds He bears,
Received on Calvary.
Thy pour effectual prayers;
They strongly plead for me.
“Forgive him, O forgive” they cry.
“Forgive him, O forgive” they cry,
“Nor let that ransomed sinner die.”

The Father hears Him pray,
His dear Anointed One;
He cannot turn away
The presence of His Son.
His Spirit answers to the blood,
His Spirit answers to the blood,
And tells me I am born of God.

Closing Prayer: May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you. -2 Corinthians 13:14
